When my stepsister, Lucy Sloven, frames me for triggering her allergic reaction, my three brothers force me into a cramped, airless cellar and seal the door with chains.
I slam my fists against the cellar door, pleading with them to let me out.
My eldest brother, Aaron Caldwell, a powerful figure in the business world, snaps coldly, "I usually turn a blind eye when you bully Luce, but you knew she was allergic to seafood and still made her eat it. Are you trying to kill her? Stay in there and reflect on your actions!"
My second brother, Bruce Caldwell, a rising pop star, and my third brother, Clark Caldwell, a genius painter, scoff in unison. "Someone as vicious as you still dares to play the victim. Stay in there and suffer!"
With that, they scoop up the trembling Lucy and rush her to the hospital.
As time drags on, the oxygen dwindles. Every breath becomes a struggle until I suffocate to death inside.
Three days later, when my brothers return from the hospital with Lucy, they finally remember me.
They have no idea that I have already died from oxygen deprivation in that narrow cellar.
On my birthday, Grandpa asks me, Harper Levinson, which man from the Zink family I wish to marry. I choose the fifth and youngest son without hesitation, and the elders are thrown into shock.
After all, everyone in our circle knows that I, the eldest daughter and future heiress to the Levinson Group, am deeply in love with their eldest son, Jonathan Zink. I've always insisted on marrying no one but him.
In my previous life, I did marry Jonathan. However, in our third month, I discovered that he was cheating on me with my illegitimate younger sister, Ruth.
That day, his eyes were filled with tears as he knelt before me. "Please forgive me. It was just an accident, I swear!"
I gave in but, ultimately, Grandpa found out and sent Ruth abroad. Jonathan believed it was all my doing, and from that moment on, he hated me to the bone.
Over the next few years, the elders in the family passed away one after another. We were always beaten to the punch in the market, and our company's confidential files were stolen.
On the very day I found out about my pregnancy, I was killed in a staged car accident.
Now, reborn into this life, I choose to let them fulfill their love instead. What I don't expect is when news of my engagement is announced, he storms into the engagement party and begs me to marry him.
Nicole’s life changed drastically when she was reunited with the Riddle family. “Nothing is more important than my sister,” said her eldest brother, the domineering CEO.“You are still a student with no income. Take my credit card and spend however you like,” said her second brother, the financial expert.“I will allow no one to bully you at school,” her third brother, a top student, said.“Why did I compose this song? Because it would put a sweet smile on your face when you hear it,” her fourth brother, a talented musician, said.“You're so delicate. Let me do the dirty work for you if you want to beat someone up,” said her athletic fifth brother.Just when Nicole was barely accustomed to the pampering of her five brothers, she found herself having a fiancé, a nemesis from whom she had hacked a hundred million dollars. She needed to cancel the engagement, no matter what. But he pressed her against the door and said, “How can you run away just like that after stealing my money, you brat?”“Even if I don’t run, I don’t have the money to pay you back,” Nicole acted tough.“Oh, yeah? Then I will take you instead of money.” He then carried her on his back and took her away.
Sebastian Smith and Roxanne Grayson have been together for seven years—they dated for three years and have been married for four. Despite that, he chooses to believe his mistress over her and takes her to court.Roxanne's heart is shattered when he asks her whether she admits she's guilty. Later, she turns the tables and proves her innocence, showing Sebastian his mistress' true colors. When she's set free, she says, "Let's divorce, Sebastian.""Don't regret this, Roxanne!" he responds, thinking that she's only saying this in the heat of the moment. He thinks she loves him so much that she won't actually leave him.One day, when they run into each other, Sebastian asks, "Are you here to ask me to get back with you?""Narcissism is a mental condition—you should seek a psychiatrist's help for that," Roxanne retorts. She's always the one to seek him out whenever they argue, but this time, he's kept waiting. It's only when she turns into an attorney who's as good at her job as he is and faces him in court that he discovers she's changed. She's no longer his, so he panics. "I still love you, Rox. Please come back to me."Roxanne is now strong and determined. "I became a better person because of you, but it wasn't for your sake. Please move, Mr. Smith. Don't stand in the way of me becoming your aunt."

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.Enter him.Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he’s not letting me go.

At the very beginning, he had said to her, "Wanwan, I shall fill your days with joy and happiness." Later on, he had said, "Ye Wanwan, why don't you go to hell?" Three years ago, I, Zara Yaxley, gave birth to a stillborn baby.
My husband, Steve Griffin, set up a private chapel at home to grieve. From then on, he becomes a pious man and embraces a celibate lifestyle in memory of our dead child. As a result, we only sleep together once a month.
No matter how I flirt or seduce him, he remains unmoved.
One night, I stand outside the door and see him gazing at a photo of his first love. It turns out that Steve isn't an unfeeling man. He just feels nothing for me.
So, I trick him into signing the divorce agreement and disappear from his world completely.
Later on, I receive news about him going crazy trying to find me.
When we meet again, it is at his uncle's wedding. I am happy and radiant in an elegant wedding gown, while he is immensely upset. His eyes are reddened as he stubbornly refuses to call me "Aunt Zara".

My husband, Scott Lemire, admires the young, newly hired nurse at the hospital. Her name is Yvonne West, and he promotes her to a full-fledged doctor, even though she has only worked here for two days.
His colleagues urge him to reconsider his decision, but he insists that Yvnonne has the skills for it. He also condemns his colleagues for being inept and prone to jealousy.
However, Scott's mother, Agatha Kincaid, is suddenly involved in a car crash and breaks her leg. Yvonne gives Agatha the wrong blood bag, causing cardiac arrest and ultimately leading to her death.
After I check the blood compatibility log, I gnash my teeth in anger and press charges against Yvonne right there and then. The next day, however, Scott brings a group of men to the funeral home, wreaking havoc and forcing Agatha's casket open.
"Whitney, how can you be this vicious? Yvonne didn't mean for it to happen. Your mom is very old anyway. If she's dead, then so be it. You didn't have to ruin Yvonne's career!
"Your mom won't be happy if she knows the kind of crap you're doing! Sign the letter of understanding now, or I'll divorce you this instant!"
I try to stop Scott's men from ruining the funeral home as I question him.
"Are you out of your mind? This is Mom's funeral!"
Scott sneers and says, "I will do the same if this is my mom's funeral, let alone your mom's!"
And yet, he shows up at my place later, kneeling in tears and begging me to seek justice for Agatha.

"I'm so over Cassandra." Aidan Ziegler sneers, swirling his wine glass with a lazy smirk. "A real woman is soft and sweet—like Clara. As for her..."
In the corner, a glass suddenly shatters in a man's palm.
Cassandra Callum stands frozen, holding the cake she made to celebrate their three-year anniversary, eyes locked on the blood trickling down from his sharply defined fingers.
Tristan Freeman, head of Freeman Group, slowly wipes his hand clean. His dark gaze sweeps over her tear-reddened eyes. "Ms. Callum, would you like to marry me?"
The city explodes with gossip.
Everyone thinks a broke little designer has climbed her way into wealth and power—
what no one knows is that this marriage is a trap Tristan set five years ago.
His private gallery holds over a thousand sketches of her profile—from that day in sophomore year when she crouched in a rainy alley feeding a stray cat,
to her backstage at a runway abroad, gently arranging jewelry.
Late at night, he stares at security footage, cigarette in hand, as Aidan kneels in a storm, soaked and shaking. Tristan suddenly pulls his delicate wife into his arms.
Later, a finance reporter captures the once cold and ruthless Tristan,
down on one knee before Cassandra. His hands tremble as he holds a pregnancy test.
Cassandra flashes her wedding ring and laughs softly. "Surprised, Mr. Freeman?"
Tristan, once known for being sharp and vicious, blinks back tears,
then presses a trembling kiss to the faded mark on her ring finger.
"Cassie, when you were 22, I wanted to say..."
"Say what?"
He leans in, his voice hoarse as he whispers, "The cake was really sweet."

Caroline Fisher, the renowned socialite of St. Louis, became a laughingstock after a single word shattered her wedding. Six years of perseverance yielded only a feeble "sorry." With a knowing smile, Caroline declared, "I'm certain he'll return, but this time, I won't wait any longer." "To be cherished as a treasure by someone, despite the world's vilification."

Marilyn had no idea that being sold as a Slave girl from the North would change the direction of her whole life totally.
Marilyn was just a young teenager growing up in the secluded Island in the Northern Kingdom. Her mother had died when she was six years old and she had spent the most of her life growing up with her very evil stepmother who hated her and usually treated her like a servant.
Her father was the only one who loved her but most times, her stepmother and older stepsister, Kate ( her stepmother bore her in her first marriage) would tell various lies against her on how disobedient and stubborn Marilyn was. This was to make her father scold her and the woman successfully made Marilyn's father turn against her too.
Marilyn didn't care about the ill treatment she always got from home so she wouldn't mind and still continued being the good girl that she was. Washing the dishes and clothes, kneading the dough and doing all sorts of demanding chores that were expected of her even though they were too much for only her to handle.
Unknown to Marilyn, her stepmother was planning to sell her off on a particular evening when she was asked to get medicine from the market for her sick father who was almost on the verge of death.
She had to run fast to the market to meet the local doctor who was waiting for her according to what her step mother had told her but she was not going to meet any local doctor to get medicine for her frail father, her stepmother was actually planning to sell her off.
The woman had already told the slave trader that a young girl was going to come and meet him that day. Poor Marilyn had no idea that her stepmother was selling her into slavery. The moment she got there, she met a very huge man with muscles, he had a rough face and a scar on his face, she felt that he didn't look like a doctor but he had pretended and had told her he was the one.
She tries to run away knowing he was no doctor but he was visibly stronger than she and before she knew it, she was knocked unconscious.
***********
When Marilyn was firstly sold, the slave dealer who took her away from her original hometown, the Northern Kingdom sold her with other girls to the Southern Ardenian Kingdom.
The girls had always heard of this kingdom and have never had the opportunity to go there.
Getting to see the most revered and respected kingdom in their lifetime felt like a blessing and a curse at the same time because most of them in their wildest dreams would have never had the thought of crossing the border of their tiny Island from the North to the Magnificent and Awe inducing Kingdom of Ardenia from the South, except that they were in the land now as a bound soul. Sold as a common slave who is at the bottomless part of the chain in the society.
Even a servant of the household had an enviable life compared to what they were now subjected to. They were given a slave sign to mark them so that whenever they escaped, it would be easy to find them. Marilyn had hers on the back of her neck and it had taken the effort of three men before they could successfully put it on her. She had to always let her blonde hair down and also tie a piece of scarf on her neck to cover the sign on it that read ' Slave of the North' in their local Northern dialect.
The day after Avery Sterling is falsely accused of running over Britney Walker, her husband, Calvin Grant, and their two sons suspend her younger brother above a giant vat of boiling oil, threatening to drop him in alive.Avery panics and rushes forward to save her brother, but the bodyguards block her path and hold her back."Do you admit what you did?" Calvin asks coldly, standing nearby in a sharp, tailored suit. "Will you ever dare hurt Britney again?""I didn't hit her!" Avery cries, struggling against the guards restraining her. "Calvin, please, let Henry go! He's only 18 years old! He just got into Westbridge University!"

On my 23rd birthday, my brother, Eric Welsh, becomes the richest man in the country. During the grand birthday party he throws for the housekeeper's daughter, Fiona Dobler, he announces that she will receive the sole attention of the Welsh family.
Meanwhile, I have only a month left to live because of my faulty artificial heart, and I can't find a matching donor. While I'm being tormented physically and mentally, I video call him.
When he hears me coughing, he berates me, "Back then, you left because you were worried that I'll be a burden to you. What now? Are you regretting it because I'm rich?"
My throat feels tight as I stare intently at his unchanged expression through the screen, smiling wryly. "Eric, think of 300,000 dollars as a small amount and lend it to me."
On the other end, Eric snorts and gently assures Fiona, "It's a scam call. Don't worry."
Of course he has nothing to worry about. The healthy heart in his chest is mine.
