I know what food is comfortable for you" After he got dressed, we went out. Me leading him to the dining hall. As we both were walking together, I saw people staring at us. By which I became I became a little uncomfortable. I should enjoy the attention but when I get into the situation, I get awkwardly uncomfortable When we reached the dining hall, I pulled out a chair from a blank table. He sat down and said "thank you" Then he sat looking here and there observing every little thing I stood beside his chair. "This is a nice place" he said after observing almost everything "Told you" I replied smiling "Thanks for bringing me here I would really love to have lunch with you sitting in this dining hall" " Now give me the chance to thank you, after I make you buy some amazing food" I said keeping my hands on the table. "You are so dedicated to your work that even when you know when you can get more just by my accepting my gift but still you choose to you bring me here, make me buy some amazing food and get commission" "That's whom I am you are dealing with" Then I winked. He smiled I handed him a menu card and started suggesting what should he eat in his lunch. "Try these rice dishes. These will taste amazing" "Dishes? do you want me to order all of these?" He laughed. And then continued And did you tried any of them? or you are just saying it will taste amazing to get commission?" "Of course, when there is more of leftover food which staff get to eat them. I know how they taste" "Ok fine, then being this, this, this, this for two hours and sit beside me" He said to me pointing to all the dishes on the menu card. "I will be back" I said to him and went to bring our food. After some time, I came back with a serving trolley and placed all the dishes on the table. "Sit and eat with me" he said to me loud enough. I sat down and looked around myself. People are staring at us more than today's morning, maybe because that time I was not in my uniform and I was looking like a passenger. To ignore them I started tasting the food. This definitely tastes better than what we use to get when there's extra food in the kitchen. I thought of asking Him the reason behind his strict food habit. And I asked: - So, what made you follow a vegan diet? - I don't only follow a vegan diet also follow a vegan lifestyle. I am an ethical vegan - how is one different from the other? - what you said is vegan diet, which means it only includes a person food habit. What I said is a vegan lifestyle which means it includes everything, not only diet. Like clothing, destinations, social circle, festivals, etc. - okay I understand the food and clothing what do you mean by social circle, destination or festivals? - destination means where we vegans are going to spend our money like we don't visit zoo because zoo tortures animals by keeping them caged. We don't visit circus where animals are forced to perform tricks. And many places like these where animals suffer. - social circle? - it means like we don't contribute to anything that tortures animals. Like we don't join any group which is based on hurting animals. And festivals mean we don't involve in any festival that it includes animal sacrifice for where meat is necessary. Like we do celebrate Thanksgiving but we don't include meat as a main dish. - I see, you have brought a lot of restrictions in your life. - I don't see them as restrictions. I choose a life where I know I have to ignore everything that it includes animal torture so, I can't call them any restrictions, it's in my ethics. - Why you have so much issues with animal torture? I mean I never saw any animal dying in front of me. But I don't even hesitate to eat them as food. - because I have seen animals die, I have seen animals get tortured for human's luxuries.
