Chapter 5: Quite Interesting
Sandra ignored the astonished crowd.
She slowly walked up to Wesley and gently placed her hands on his wheelchair.
"I have to thank you," she said.
Wesley raised an eyebrow, sensing that something was off.
"You've always trusted me and didn't even stop me when I entered Mr. Victor Cooper's room. I'm touched."
The crowed was shocked by Victor's resurrection.
Hearing that, they became curious and turned their gazes towards them.
Wesley was speechless.
With just a few casual sentences, they were bound together.
Sandra was cunning.
Wesley sighed and reluctantly accepted their partnership.
"You did a good job. You didn't let us down."
He said with a serious face.
The crowd was shocked.
Hailey and Debra were busy talking to Victor and had not noticed what was happening outside.
But the others stared at Sandra with hatred in their eyes.
It was as if she was their mortal enemy.
They were eager to share Victor's fortune.
But their dreams were shattered.
Ignoring them, Sandra pushed Wesley's wheelchair and went to the main hall.
She had to take a brief rest, waiting for the upcoming "battle."
...
Unfortunately, it wasn't long before Wesley went to see Victor.
Sandra was left alone in the hall.
Just as she finished drinking a cup of tea, Elizabeth walked in.
"You have some tricks up your sleeve. Who taught you?"
Sandra played with her teacup and completely ignored Elizabeth.
Elizabeth got impatient.
"I'm talking to you!"
Sandra chuckled, "Didn't I tell you before? Are you deaf?"
Elizabeth hesitated, wondering when Sandra had told her.
Oh, right.
Sandra had claimed to bring good luck.
Only a fool would believe such nonsense!
But judging by Sandra's attitude, she wouldn't be able to get anything out of her today.
"Do you still want 200 million dollars? I can give it to you, but you have to leave Wesley," Elizabeth said, forcing back her anger.
Sandra thought she had misheard.
"Are you serious?" she asked.
Elizabeth was almost driven mad by Sandra's nonchalant attitude.
She had worked hard to study medicine to save Wesley.
But she was outdone by a village girl.
How could she not be angry?
Now she just wanted to slap Sandra's face.
"You can name your price as long as you divorce Wesley immediately!"
Elizabeth said through gritted teeth.
Sandra lightly tapped her teacup with her fair fingers.
"You're so passionate. Why don't you say these things in front of Wesley?"
Elizabeth stared at her pretty face.
"I don't say it for your own good!"
"For my good?" Sandra raised an eyebrow curiously.
Elizabeth looked both disdainful and sympathetic. "Don't you know?
"Wesley became vegetative because of a business war. You're just a village girl. You shouldn't get involved in it."
Elizabeth intentionally sighed.
"Wesley is brutal and ruthless. Besides me, no one can control his temper. If you don't leave, you might end up dead," she added.
Sandra lowered her eyes, a hint of coldness flashing across her face.
Elizabeth thought she was scared.
After all, a village girl would naturally feel inferior in Geniston.
Since she knew that Wesley was in love with another woman and was brutal and ruthless, she would run away immediately.
"Sandra, I will send you away tonight. You can live a wealthy life with the money I give you. Wesley could die at any moment. You...
"Ah!"
Just then.
Elizabeth let out a scream.
A cup of hot tea had been poured over her head.
She screamed, her face distorted with fury and pain.
Sandra slowly got up and approached her.
"Didn't he tell you that I have a bad temper?"
Humph.
Wesley was the future heir of the Cooper family.
He was worth billions of dollars.
Why should Sandra care about 200 million dollars?
Besides, if she left, how could she seek revenge?
"How dare you hurt me?"
Elizabeth's scream didn't catch the attention of anyone else.
Instead, screams could be heard from outside.
And that voice was familiar.
Elizabeth immediately turned around and left.
She saw her assistant, Lucy Green, kneeling on the ground and begging for forgiveness.
Lucy was always arrogant in a white coat.
Now, her hair was disheveled and her face was pale.
She was a complete mess!
In contrast, Wesley, sitting in his wheelchair, had a gloomy expression.
His sinister gaze seemed to be from the depths of hell.
It sent chills down everyone's spines.
"Say it!"
His voice was cold, devoid of any human feelings.
Sandra had never seen him like this.
It was...
Quite interesting.
Lucy was scared.
"Mr. Cooper, I didn't mean it.
"They all said you wouldn't survive last night, so I mentioned it in front of Mr. Victor Cooper.
"I am Mr. Victor Cooper's doctor. I would never harm him."
Elizabeth couldn't bear to see her assistant in such distress.
She ignored her own pain.
And she quickly walked over.
People around them were discussing. It was not difficult to figure out what had happened.
Although Victor was seriously ill, he could still live for a few more years.
But Lucy mentioned Wesley's imminent death in front of Victor.
Upon learning that his only son was dying, Victor immediately vomited blood.
Elizabeth was called in to save him.
"Mr. Cooper, she is my assistant and would never harm Mr. Victor Cooper. Besides, Mr. Victor Cooper is feeling better now, isn't he?"
The air seemed to freeze instantly.
Elizabeth's heart skipped a beat.
How could she lose her mind while arguing with Sandra?
This was not the time to say such things.
Lucy was too frightened to make a sound.
Wesley sneered, "Leo!"
Leo stepped forward and directly held onto Lucy.
He broke her jaw and hand bones!
From that moment on, Lucy could no longer be a doctor!
Everyone from the Cooper family was stunned!
No one dared to speak.
Sandra sneered.
She looked at Elizabeth, who had turned pale.
"Dr. Young, do you still want to give me 200 million dollars?"
Those words pierced Elizabeth's heart.
She clenched her fists.
Lucy was dragged away, and no one dared to stop them.
Sandra's mood instantly improved a lot.
She slowly walked over to Hailey and Debra.
"Is everything resolved now? I've been waiting for a long time," she said.
Hailey's face was filled with anger. "Watch the attitude!"
Sandra looked innocent and stunned.
"Madam Cooper, are you unwilling to give me the money?"
Hailey almost fainted with anger.
"Have our people returned from the Hill Villa? Give her 50 million dollars first!"
It seemed that they had to give Sandra money today.
After all, Sandra claimed to bring good luck, and she did wake up Victor and Wesley.
If they didn't give her any reward in front of so many people, they would surely be criticized.
