5 Surprise!
“Set up a meeting with William Monroe.”
Paul nodded and tapped at the computer. He was Davis’s bodyguard and also his right-hand man.
“He will be meeting you in thirty minutes,” Paul said.
Davis nodded. He hadn't slept well last night as he had been plagued with nightmares from his past.
He adjusted his shirt and sighed. After many years of meticulous planning, it was time to finally implement it.
“But Sir, do you think involving Anna is such a good idea?” Paul asked.
Davis stared at his stoic bodyguard. He had always been expressionless but Davis knew he worried about him.
“We can do this without her, I don't want anyone to jeopardize the plans.”
“We can but she is the perfect cover for us. Besides, she also wants to get her revenge, it's time we teach the Monroes that they can't keep using people,” Davis replied.
Just then he glanced at his watch and nodded, “It’s time to go.”
Davis headed to the boardroom just as William and Daniel walked into the room.
“Mr. Solorante, it's a pleasure,” William beamed at him.
Davis nodded and glanced at Daniel.
“It’s a pleasure, Mr. Solorante. I'm working closely with my father, that's why I’m here,” Daniel said.
“Welcome, gentlemen. Let’s get right down to business,” he nodded at them.
William produced the documents and handed them to him.
“I have gone through the documents. All that's needed now is your signature and we can become business partners,” William said.
Davis nodded and gave the file to Paul who looked through it then he nodded.
Davis signed it and then they shook hands.
“Welcome to the family, Mr. Solorante,” William said.
Davis nodded, “About that, Mr. Monroe, can we talk privately?”
William nodded at Daniel who stepped out with Paul.
“Yes, what do need?” William asked.
“Your house.”
William raised an eyebrow, “Excuse me?”
“I want to buy your house. I will be moving in with my new wife this evening,” Davis said.
“You must be out of your mind. My house isn't for sale, we aren't doing any business again,” William snapped.
“Don’t worry you and your family will keep living in the house. We just want one wing all to ourselves,” Davis said.
William stared at him. Surely this man must have gone mad because there was no way he was selling his house to him.
“I don't know what drugs you are on but I will forget this conversation happened,” William said.
“You will sell your house to me, William,” Davis said.
“Why?” William asked, raising a challenging brow.
“Because I am the only one who knows what you did thirty years ago,” Davis smirked.
William’s face turned white like he had seen a ghost as he clutched the edge of the table.
“How… who…” he stuttered, unable to voice out anything reasonable.
“Do we have a deal, Mr. Monroe?” Davis asked with a smirk.

Anna glanced at her phone which beeped as she smiled at Lily.
“It’s time,” she told her.
Lily nodded, staring at her friend. She looked very beautiful in the simple white gown she wore with light makeup on her face.
“You’re getting married again,” Lily gushed.
“Well it's for a purpose this time at least,” Anna said.
Lily nodded as she grabbed her purse. “What did Davis say?”
“He said I should meet him in the marriage registry in twenty minutes, a car would be here to pick me up,” Anna replied.
“That car?” Lily asked as she stared out of the window.
Anna saw a white Porsche pull up in front of the house and she nodded.
“Yeah.”
Together they went downstairs and saw Davis’s bodyguard standing beside the car.
“Miss Anna, here are the documents of the car,” the man said, handing her the papers.
Anna frowned, “He bought the car in my name?”
“Yes, he said it's a wedding gift and there's another one waiting for you after the wedding,” he replied.
“Wait what you're saying…” Lily glanced at him, arching her brow.
“Paul,” he said.
“Okay, Paul. You're telling me that Mr. Solorante bought my friend this car?”
“Yes and let’s head to the venue, he doesn't like to be kept waiting.”
Anna hid the smile threatening to blossom on her face. Maybe this contract thing wasn't such a bad idea.
Paul drove them to the venue and she stepped out with Lily beside her. She glanced at Davis standing by the doorway dressed in a white tuxedo, he looked extremely handsome.
Her heart did a little flip as she stared at him and for the first time since they met, he smiled at her.
“You look exquisite, my dear,” he complimented her.
Anna blushed as he led her inside one of the rooms where the officiant sat down.
“Miss Anna, you want to get married to Mr. Davis?” the man asked.
Anna nodded without hesitation. She couldn't wait for them to start implementing her revenge plans.
“Perfect, just sign these documents, take a few pictures and you’re good to go,” he said.
Anna spent the next few minutes taking pictures and reviewing the documents she was signing until they were finally done.
“Congratulations on being the new Mrs. Solorante,” Davis said to her.
Anna nodded, “Now, how do we get into the house?”
“Are you going with your friend?” Davis asked.
Anna stared at Lily and nodded, “She’s always been there for me. But I want to go alone today.”
“Wise choice,” Davis nodded.
Anna walked up to Lily and hugged her.
“We are going to the Monroe mansion right now and I would like to go alone. I will come visit you once I’m settled,” Anna informed her.
“Do you know his plans to infiltrate the house,” Lily asked.
Anna shook her head, “He hasn't said anything else yet.”
“Be careful, Anna,” Lily hugged her again.
Anna nodded just as she handed Lily her new car keys. Lily hadn't come with her car.
“Take care, Lily. And take care of my car.”
Lily chuckled as she bade her goodbye and drove off.
“Are you ready for the new phase of your life?” Davis nodded and Anna nodded.
They got into the car and Paul drove them to the family mansion. He took her hands and helped her out of the car as he led her into the house.
Anna shuddered slightly as she wondered if Davis was going to make a fool of her here but she held her head high and kept a straight face.
The family of Monroes were all gathered in the sitting room and they frowned when they saw her and Davis walk into the house.
“What is she doing here?” Daniel asked, “And why is she with Mr. Solorante?”
Davis arched a brow at William and he stood up with a document which he presented to Anna.
“She is Mr. Solorante’s wife and he just bought this house for her,” William announced.
Everyone’s eyes widened at the announcement as Anna stared at the document stating she was the legal owner of the mansion.
She was speechless as she hadn't expected it.
“Mr. Solarante has been so kind as to allow us all to keep living in the mansion; they just want the East Wing all to themselves,” William added.
A smile broke on Anna’s face as she stared at Davis.
“Is this true?” she asked in a whisper.
“You’re the new owner of this mansion, my love. Your second wedding gift, Surprise!”
Anna grinned as she saw the look on every member of the Monroe family including Renee. They all looked so pale.
“This is a wonderful surprise, don't you think so, Renee? Now we can make up and be friends while living in the same house,” Anna grinned.
