Xina devoured her meal with an eagerness that caught up with her soon after. She had eaten far too much and now felt the urge to walk it off to help digest the heavy breakfast. After pacing back and forth in the confines of her room, curiosity began to gnaw at her. She decided to venture outside the room, especially since Gary wasn’t around. He had mentioned needing to take care of a few matters, though he hadn't specified what kind of tasks required his attention. Xina thought it best not to pry—she was already grateful that Gary had allowed her to stay in this grand, castle-like house. She was just curious about the place. With that thought, Xina made her decision. She would take a look around. After all, Gary hadn't explicitly told her she couldn't explore the house, right? Cautiously, Xina opened the door. It wasn’t locked, confirming that Gary had no intention of confining her to the room. “Ready for a walk?” a voice asked. Startled, Xina jumped back, her heart pounding as sh
