When we finally reached our hotel room, Kenzie was almost asleep. Dropping her weight gently to the bed, I arranged her head on the pillow. I drew the blanket over her body and when I was about to get up and leave, her small warm feminine hands held me back by the wrist and I turned to see her eyes half open as she struggled to keep them from shutting. "Don't go." She said, her tone weak and drunk. "Lie down next to me." I stared at her, surprised and sceptical. Why would she want me to sleep on her bed? And what if woke up the next morning and accused me of taking advantage of her drunken state? I knew too well how judgemental and dramatic Kenzie could be. "Please." She added, pulling me by the heartstrings. I sighed in surrender and gently put my weight on the bed, lying my frame closely next to her.
