Chapter 90 He Would Clean up Her Messes?

"Bradley, wait a moment. I have something to tell you," Owen called out before walking toward the study upstairs with the help of his cane. "Have Frederick lead you out for a stroll first. I'll find you later," Bradley said to Freya. "Okay." Freya nodded, and after Bradley entered the elevator, she walked out of the living room. The Austin Mansion was as huge as a grand palace. As soon as she stepped out of the living room, she could hear birds chirping. When Lydia saw that Freya was heading toward the garden, she instructed Jinny to follow Freya. After the burns Lydia suffered, she had to find a chance to teach Freya a lesson. "Mom, what should we do next?" Jinny had not been in the living room just now, but she had heard about her mother being bullied. Thus, she was so furious that she was gritting her teeth. "Go and fawn over her. Gain her trust and find a chance to act." Lydia could tell that Freya was not going to be an easy enemy, so there was no advantage to being openly confrontational. "Don't worry, Mom. I'll avenge you." Jinny ran away with a grin on her lips. She had ordered the servants to plant a "surprise" in the garden, so it was time to let Freya experience it. From the distance, she enthusiastically called out, "Aunt Freya!" Freya had been walking along the corridor when she heard the call. Turning back, she saw that it was Jinny. A sly glint flashed through her eyes. She stopped and looked at Jinny in confusion. "What's the matter?" "Aunt Freya, I'm so sorry for what I did. I know, I was wrong," Jinny said in a faux apology. "It's good that you know that," Freya casually responded before turning to leave. Jinny seized the chance to grab Freya's hand. "Aunt Freya, since Uncle Bradley is busy, let me show you around. I grew up here, so I know this place best." She then pointed at the path ahead of them in the garden. "There is a beautiful field of lavender over there. Let's go." Freya blinked. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Still, she did not reject the suggestion as she wanted to see just what Jinny was up to. The two of them arrived at the lavender garden. Looking out at the sea of pale purple flowers with a faint floral scent in the air, she instantly felt calm. Jinny led Freya through the lavender garden to a wooden cabin. A cold and sinister glint flashed in her eyes. "This is the greenhouse, Aunt Freya. There are many types of flowers here. Let's take a look." Freya nodded. "Okay." Jinny happily opened the door for her. When they walked in, they found several peach trees inside along with a beautiful swing tied to their branches. There was also a stone table inside with two stools beside it. The floor was very clean without a single leaf or weed in sight. As Freya looked around, she heard the door creak and close from the outside. Frowning, she walked toward the door. Then, she heard noises all around her that sounded like something was crawling around. Upon closer inspection, she saw a snake jump down from a peach tree. Freya chuckled. Jinny has lured me over for a surprise. Just as the snake threw itself at her, Freya effortlessly grabbed it by the head and smashed it against the ground. More and more snakes soon surrounded her, making Freya feel uneasy. Outside. Jinny leaned against the door to listen to the sounds coming from within with great satisfaction. How dare the fool toy with Mom. I'll show her who's the boss around her. It'll be great if the snakes cover her body with thousands of tiny holes. With a smug hum on her lips, she was about to leave when the door was kicked open. Then, a long shadow was sent flying toward her. Jinny looked down to find a snake wrapped around her neck. She immediately began screaming in fear as she tried to tear it away from her. Freya walked out of the greenhouse with a snake in her hand before smashing it to the ground while Jinny watched. She could not even be bothered to look at Jinny before she dusted her hands and walked away. The snake was not venomous, so Jinny would only feel the pain of being physically bitten. Serves her right! Just as she walked out of the lavender garden, she found Bradley heading toward her. With a happy smile on her lips, she ran toward him. "Mr. Bradley!" "Frederick said you came here with Jinny. She didn't do anything to you, did she? When Bradley was informed of the development by Frederick, he had rushed over, worried that Freya would be hurt. Hence, he let out a huge sigh of relief upon seeing that she was fine. Freya lowered her head like she had done something wrong. "I caused trouble again." Just as she said that, a young man's hysterical shout could be heard coming from the garden. "Oh, no! Miss Jinny has been bitten by a snake!" Bradley was stunned for a moment before he swiftly understood what Freya had meant. With a smile on his lips, he reached out and tapped the tip of her nose. "It's fine. Even if the sky is falling, I'll hold it up." He then grabbed her hand. When he saw the bite marks on the back of her hand, his heart was filled with shock. Without hesitation, he kissed the back of her hand to suck out the blood. Freya was surprised. Is he taking advantage of me again? She tried to pull back, but his grip around her hand tightened. "You've been bitten. We must suck out the poison." He then frantically said to Frederick, "Call for a doctor." "It's fine. The snake that bit me wasn't venomous." Freya let out an exasperated laugh. Jinny wanted to hurt her, yet she was too scared to use venomous snakes. When dealing with the swarm of snakes, she had carelessly allowed herself to be bitten. Still, it was just pain. "Why are you smiling even after being bitten. Doesn't it hurt?" There was a frosty look on Bradley's face and ice in his eyes. Still, he gently blew on her wounds. That made Freya very uncomfortable, but she did not struggle and let him do as he please. "It hurts, but Jinny must be in greater pain," she replied. A sheltered young woman would definitely be scared out of her wits to find a snake around her neck. Bradley patted her head and pulled her onto his lap. "Even if it doesn't hurt, we still have to get it checked out by a doctor." Freya struggled. "I know medicine, and I say it's fine. Please put me down. I'm dirty." "It's fine. I don't mind." Upon hearing that, Freya looked up to find Bradley staring at her intently, as if trying to imprint the image of her into his eyes. His gaze made her hair stand on end, so she hurriedly lowered her head. "Let's go back to clean up the mess." Bradley sounded a little exasperated, but Freya could hear the indulgent tone hidden within his words. Did he mean to say that he would clean up her messes? That made Freya feels reassured. It was so nice to be protected. Bradley carried her out of the garden. After what happened, Arthur's family would not let this incident slid. They thought he had married a fool, but then… His bride was sly, not a fool. In less than two hours, she had actually made a mockery out of Arthur's family. Bradley had hit the jackpot! There was a grin on his lips due to his good mood. She's not a fool, but an extremely feral and untamed wild cat. Anyone who tries to bully her will end up with scratches all over them. It seemed he would have to find a way to tame her.
