Chapter 6 Prefer to Be a Lonely Werewolf

When I walked over to Adri again, I saw another maid. "Sir, is your room available to be tidied up?" The maid inquired with a smile on her face. "Let Kasha go, she's my personal maid now and she should be the one to do these things too." Adri took a sip of coffee and said to the maid. "But your room has always been mine..." "I think I made it clear, she goes to tidy up, you just show her to my room." Adri interrupted her, a little impatient. "I'm sorry, sir." The maid lowered her head and apologized to Adri. I could feel the resentment and anger in her heart, but she could only do as she was told. She led me toward Adri's room without saying a word to me, just hurrying forward as if she was anxious to get rid of me. "This is Alpha Adri's room, you must not only organize the room, but also clean the whole place." The maid took me to the third floor and said in a no-nonsense manner. Adri's living area was larger than my home, and even a separate room was the size from bedroom to living room of my own home. Cleaning the place alone would probably wear me out. I just didn't understand why they seemed to enjoy cleaning Adri's room. Was it to please him? "Thank you." I thanked her kindly. "No need to thank me, you better get to work or you won't have lunch. If you damage any of the things here, you may be thrown out and even arrested." The maid said indifferently, and then quickly left. I looked at the big room in front of me and I knew I wasn't going to get my lunch today. I carried a bucket of water from the bathroom, and then started wiping every part of the room with a rag, not daring to have any carelessness. Especially when wiping those small objects, I concentrated all the spirit, afraid that they are damaged a trace. The room was not even half cleaned and my clothes were already drenched in sweat. Although I did a lot of things at home, those things at home were nothing compared to here. By the time I mopped the floor, it was almost lunchtime, but I had a bunch of things to do. I was a little demoralized and felt even more aggrieved in my heart. If it was at home, I could have argued with them and stormed out of the house. But not here, if I ran out, they would think I had defected, they would mark me as a rouge, and no wolf pack would take me in again. "Kasha, what are you doing?" I was on my knees wiping down the foot of the bed in Adri's room when a familiar voice came from behind me. "Cleaning, I'll finish as soon as I can, except for the bedroom, there is only a study left." I supported my body and stood up to answer, while my legs had started to shake from the soreness. "You wiped the whole house with a rag all by yourself?" Adri didn't believe what I said and questioned it. "Yes..." I replied with my head bowed. I just hoped he wouldn't give me a hard time anymore, otherwise I didn't know when this house would be all sorted out. "Well, I'll have someone else come in here and clean up afterwards, so you can go have lunch. From now on, you just need to clean up briefly every day. Every Sunday you can go home and rest for the day, no need to work here." Adri stood in the doorway of the room and said to me. "Thank you Alpha Adri." Although what I'd rather hear was that he told me never to come back here again. But for now, it's nice enough to be home one day a week. In front of him, I had no qualification to offer requests. I tried to look like I was walking normally, but my legs were still sore enough to make me walk a little wobbly. The maids ate in a special dining room, away from Adri's living area. Everything in the restaurant was much simpler than in Adri's restaurant. When I walked into the restaurant, most people had already finished eating. When they saw me, they couldn't help but laugh, and others kept pointing their fingers at me and whispering something. I looked at the plates placed in front of them, but I looked around and saw no place to put them. Their chatter and smiles made me afraid to ask them. "Kasha, are you planning to grab the food with your hands?" The maid who took me to Adri's room sat not far in front of me and asked me with a smile. "Where is the dinner plate, please?" I asked, clutching the corner of my shirt. But in response, everyone laughed, as if they had heard some very funny joke. My hands gripped the corners of my clothes tighter, my cheeks were burning, and at that point I could not wait to find a crack in the ground. The heart was still more aggrieved. If I hadn't come here, I wouldn't have been laughed at by them. I didn't even know what they were laughing at. "What a shame, there are as many dinner plates as there are maids here, but unfortunately you didn't tell them in advance, so how come there's a plate for you?" The maid replied with a smile. This also meant that even with Adri's permission, I couldn't eat lunch all the same. I turned around and walked out of the restaurant as their laughter erupted behind me. The aggression and anger kept spreading in my heart, and I hurried back to the house. As Adri's personal maid, my room was also on the third floor, just next door to Adri's room. Back in my room, I closed the door and slowly sat down on the floor. All the sadness in the heart burst out at that moment, turning into teardrops that kept rolling down the cheeks. I didn't know what I did wrong to be treated this way on my first day here. I wanted to go home and didn't want to stay for a moment. "Kasha, you can't go, you haven't spoken to our mate yet." Bella said to me reluctantly. "I don't need a mate, I'd rather just be a lonely werewolf, nothing here needs me at all." I broke down completely and cried out to Bella. "Okay, Kasha, I know you're upset right now, but you need to pull yourself together. We came here just to find our mate, you shouldn't think so much." Bella's voice was much softer, but I couldn't listen to anything. I just wanted to get out of this hellhole, fucking the mate, go to the hell! I didn't know how long it took, but there was a knock at the door. I wiped the tears from my eyes, stood up and opened the door. Surprisingly, was the one standing outside, Adri? I froze, how could he be here at the time? "Why didn't you eat lunch?" Adri's tone was one of discontent and confusion. "I didn't tell the kitchen to prepare my dinner plate ahead of time." I lowered my head, my voice heavily nasal. "Dinner plates?" Adri was even more puzzled.
