Katrina's heart sank. She looked out the window and watched the road ahead. It was obvious they were heading away from the city. Once they left the urban area, her chances of escape would be even slimmer, putting her at a greater disadvantage. Her mind raced as she tried to come up with a way to escape. But with two men flanking her on either side, she didn't even have the chance to jump out of the moving car. What other options did she have to save herself? Suddenly, her gaze fell on the driver, and she decided to take a gamble. She glanced at the two men beside her out of the corner of her eye. When she noticed they were focused on the road ahead and not paying attention to her, she steeled herself. Katrina suddenly lunged at the driver and grabbed the steering wheel with her left hand. No one had expected her sudden move, and they couldn't react in time to stop her. The driver, Mark Grant, was startled by her sudden action and slammed his foot on the gas pedal without thinking
