Chapter 16

Liliana's pov:- My head was still stuck at the word 'girlfriend', how could those bimbos call me his girlfriend? And even if I'm his girlfriend, why should I tell them? Who the fuck are they to question our relationship?! Well, I wasn't his girlfriend yet and I wasn't planning to be either. I had no time for boyfriend-girlfriend shit, I had dreams and I had to complete them before being in a relationship. I seriously didn't like the idea of being in a relationship before the accomplishment of goals. First of all, your focus should be on your career. And when you feel like you are at the peaks of your career, you can consider dating. That's what an ideal life is! Everything has a phase, and we should live according to that. I'm in my teens where I should give my priority to my study, health, and my goals. I'm not a dream girl of anyone, I'm a dreamy girl who has so many dreams, and I belong to my dreams only. The wind was coming from the window, and playing cheerfully with my hair, that's what I liked about riding on the bus. The restaurant was so crowded today, I was already a half-hour late but I loved my job and helping Mrs. Fennimore in running that old restaurant. That old restaurant was so close to her heart that's why she was still taking care of it. Her father used to run that restaurant, she grew up watching his father serving as a waiter in his own restaurant. He was an ambitious and hardworking man who always treated everyone well. I could see that Mrs. Fennimore was also like him. Everyone grew up in a good family except me. My parents never cared about us, somewhere it was the reason why Ben chose to fly to London and study there. Ben and I never received any kinda love from our family, we were always told to behave well, dress well, and show off our wealth well. We grew up watching our mom always scolding, firing, and offending our servants. Seeing our dad going to work daily, I barely remember playing with him in my childhood. Maybe twice or thrice, on my birthdays only he played with me. I got off the bus and started walking towards the mansion. It wasn't home, it was just Watson Mansion that had plenty of housekeepers and money to buy anything but they didn't have emotions, love, and kindness. Growing up, I always wondered why our family wasn't like an ordinary family?! Why didn't we talk while eating at the dining table? Why didn't we laugh together, go to parks together? But I never got the answer to my questions so I accepted the fact that everyone had a different life, I couldn't complain or exchange with the good one. Sighing, I halted at the door and glanced at the nameplate where WATSON MANSION was written in the bold golden fonts. "Yes, you are just a mansion, not a home!" I murmured while brushing my hand on that nameplate and entered my home. No matter how much I didn't like to call it home, it would still be my home. No one could deny it. I entered the home and directly went to my room and took a cold shower to calm my thoughts about everything. Whenever I was thinking about my future, his face popped up in my mind, and this was freaking me out. Though he was a good distraction to divert my mind from my weird family. I got wrapped in a night suit because I was thinking about just binge-watching some movies, and who cares what I wear? How does it matter if I have worn any Prada's dress or a simple t-shirt or a night suit? "Knock-knock, Mam!" "Ugh! It's already a bad day, why are you making it a worse one, Fee?" I rolled my eyes and went to her. She came into my room with raspberry juice, "I've finished all my work, I'm super free until dinner time to hear gossip," she bounced her shoulders. "You are always concerned about gossip only," I grimaced and picked up the glass, "why don't you bring something for you, too? It makes me look like a bitch that I'm having the juice and you are just here to listen to my gibberish." She chuckled, "I'm concerned about gossip or your gibberish, huh? Please, make it clear to me!" "Let's go to the terrace and I'll tell you everything there," I suggested to her and shouted after coming out from my room, "John, please send some burgers and juices on the terrace, we are going to the terrace." Fee followed me to the terrace, "do you like nature?" "So much…! It gives me a feeling of freedom, and trust me, freedom is the best feeling in the world." We have a really great terrace, after all, it's Watson Mansion. The view from our terrace is so captivating that if you come for once, you won't even think about leaving the place. The beautiful garden and the fragrances of the flowers make the environment very frosty and heavenly, glass sculptures, floor lighting, antique lamps give the terrace a royal and classy look which it definitely should be since it's the town's second wealthiest person's mansion. The opulent and artificial things don't fascinate me but I fancy the view from my terrace. Especially the sunset! The terrace of our mansion is higher than the surrounding area, the chirping sound of birds, and the sunset make the evening perfect. "Lia, dude, I never knew that this mansion had a magnificent terrace like this," Fee looked at the sky and mumbled. Perhaps she was perceiving freedom. A smile appeared on my lips, "this mansion has nothing but this terrace. Let's sit here!" I pointed towards the little grass. Even the terrace had a sofa, chairs, tables, chaise lounge, couches, and whatnots! But I loved to sit on the soft grass more. "I'm pretty sure that this cute and pretty creation is yours," she pointed towards a place where I've created something for myself. I got that idea from a picture on Pinterest, white cushions on the large white sponge mattress with a vase in the middle, and some light lamps, and a long white and lavender curtain dangling from the top which covers the whole mattress perfectly. Whenever I come to the terrace, I pluck white roses and jasmine from the garden and put them in the vase. I started plucking the roses, "yes but the credit goes to an unknown person who posted a picture like this on Pinterest. I love this simple and elegant place, and we are gonna sleep here tonight, let's go there!" I gathered all the flowers and pointed towards my sweet place. "I would love to sleep here, look at this sunset, my God! This place seems like a picnic spot, the only missing thing is the waterfall," she started circling and dancing with her hmm rhythm. Fee and her smile were shining like a star, this poor girl has never enjoyed any scenario like this. The more I spend time with her, the more she seems real and innocent to me. "Look there, that is not a waterfall but an artificial fountain which gives perfection to the terrace of Watson Mansion," I shrugged my shoulders, our terrace was so enormous that no one could check it out at one glance. She put her hands on her mouth, "damn! Queen Victoria owns the perfection," she started giggling. "Let's lie down on the mattress, and start gossiping, haha!" "Yes, tell me what happened?" I narrowed my eyes and pressed my lips in uneasiness, "um, I've got the assignment to collaborate with a senior. So, I went to my senior's class this morning. I thought...um, I would choose any girl who would look simple and innocent because I wouldn't like to work with any bitch," I put my palms on my face by covering my eyes, "and I saw Jason there." "So?" Fee retorted, and I was stunned, I slowly opened my eyes, "so…? So, it's not weird, right? I met this guy again, I didn't know that he was my senior unless this morning I saw him there," I pouted. Now, this time, I got the perfect reaction from her, "what? Didn't you already know that he is in your school…? Lia, we are classmates, that's how I know him," she shrieked with widely opened eyes. "What? You are also in my school...? How's this possible? Why didn't you tell me before?" It was my turn to get shocked? "We became friends a few days ago, and we never talked about our schools. I mean, I knew that we study in the same school. I've also heard from some girls about how you are…" she looked at me with a baffled face, "I mean, tomboy, and rude. That's what I've heard, not what I believe." "You know, when I was leaving from his class, some girls started whispering that how could I be his girlfriend? And then, judging my dress sense," I took a pillow and kept it in my lap, "we had lunch together to discuss the assignment, and we agreed to be project partners but now, you are also my senior, so, I'll ditch him," and I started laughing loudly like a devil. "What? Had lunch together? Oh my goodness! And you guys are project partners?" Fee fluttered her eyes, "Lia, I can't digest so many things in just one shot," and she released the air from her mouth.
