Chapter 11
Liliana's pov :
Being alone is not a melancholy thing for me, I enjoy the feeling of spontaneity, everyone has their own choices of living a life. The freedom in life is what I admire and want, lavish life doesn't tickle my fancy, it's just as simple as that.
Fee's eyes darted back and forth before coming to me. When she was assured that the Queen had left, she went back to the kitchen and regressed with orange juice, popcorn, and hot catfish sandwiches.
Our chefs were the best ones, they made very delicious dishes, after all, the great Watson mansion's chefs will be perfect for sure. Otherwise, my mom would never think twice before kicking them out.
"Here, your favourite orange juice and John prepared your favourite hot catfish sandwich, " she put the food on the table.
I signaled her to sit on the sofa so she did, "thanks, Fee but orange juice isn't my favourite one, I like blackberry juice, you'll get to know more about my preferences from John but why didn't you bring anything for you?"
She bit her lip, "Uh, I'm not feeling hungry, plus I like simple food, not exotic foods like you," and she laughed like a panda.
As a good friend, I should know everything about her but I didn't know anything about her except her name and her attributes.
So I thought about doing one girly thing-gossip, I was not experienced in this but as far as I knew, people should take adventures and I loved the adventurous steps so I did.
"Let's go to my room and watch a movie, what say?" I suggested and took the glass of orange juice in my hand.
Thank God, she forgot about Mr. Casano otherwise, I would have been explaining so many things now. Hence my mind was still thinking about him, the thought of knowing about him from Fee vanished as soon as she revealed her sentiment.
"I don't think I should um, you know, I'm just a worker of your house, you wanna be friends with a girl who doesn't fit in your world. We belong to different societies, Lia. To be honest, I eternally wanted a friend in my life like you but..." and Fee left the words unfinished.
Reality hits you so badly that you don't have the words to say, and no scars to hide.
"Fee, I don't know how the rules of social work or how different we are, all I can see is the loyalty, magnanimity, and authenticity of yours. Do you know why I don't have friends?! There is just one reason behind this, and that is their mendacity," I took her hands in mine putting the glass aside.
Further, I added, "friendship is something which should be as real and pure as diamond, moreover I always wished if I could have a sister but as you see, I don't have one. No one likes solitude at the start but I tried to accept myself however I'm!" The tears started protruding in my eyes as the flashback of memories of my childhood passed through my mind.
In a good mannerism, I controlled on my eyes to hold back the tears, "I never deplored on being alone or not having any friends but if you won't be my friend, perhaps the bug of regret would eat my heart," I pouted and crossed my arms, "never mind, who cares?"
Few started giggling again, "I didn't know that you can be a drama queen, too. No matter how different our world is, we are destined to be friends. If someday, I'll become a great fantasy novel author, I will write a character of yours in my novel to show my sincerity to our friendship."
"Hey, I never knew you wanted to be a fantasy writer, sounds cool, girl!" being a bookworm makes me excited to talk about the books, "Fee, do you believe in destiny and all? I don't believe in these silly things," I rolled my eyes. "I believe in myself only."
She snorted, "oh, please! Read romance novels and you'll start believing in destiny, love, hope, coincidences, and many more things."
I laughed like a drain, "I'm sorry! What? Romance novels?" My hands caught my stomach, "haha! Romance novels? And me? For god's sake, don't suggest such horrible things to me!"
She shook her head and scowled. "You haven't read any yet, that's why you are saying this. Once you start reading, you'll explore a new world."
"I'm happy in my current world, I don't want to explore a new one. Now, shall we go to my room if you are done with your romance fantasies?" I rose, stretched my hand, bowed my head a little.
And there my funny friend again began chuckling, "sure, my love!" She got up from the sofa and put her hand into my palm as a princess held the hand of a prince.
Wait! What the fuck! I'm a girl, how am I supposed to be a prince?! I could be a drama queen sometimes with good company, I got to see my own new side that I never thought I could have.
I requested John to bring some more sandwiches for Fee, and blackberry juice for me. I take care of my health more than my skin and hair because my face doesn't matter but my health matters.
"Lia, have you ever watched any rom-com movie?" She raised her brows in a query, "let me guess, you like action and marvel movies only, right?" Fee looked like a five-year-old kid who gets excited while playing a guessing game.
My face went cold because she was indeed right and I could never think about watching a rom-com movie. "Right!" I nodded and pouted.
Her face broke into a burst of horrible laughter, she was making me doubt if I did something funny but no, I didn't.
"Now, if you are done with your laughing therapy we can decide what we should watch," I crossed my arms, and when she stopped laughing I uttered, "So which movie?"
She put a finger on her head, pressed her lips to make hmm sound, "what about my best friend's wedding?"
I was startled, didn't know this could be the title of a movie, "are you sure? Is this the title of a movie?" My eyes widened when she nodded her head in a gesture of yes.
Holy crap!
I could deny her proposal but I won't, it's just a movie. I could at least watch a movie for my best friend that I would never like to watch. It was the least I could do for her so instead of acting like a drama queen again, I agreed with her.
"Okay, as you say, my dear friend!"
"Would you be my bridesmaid on my wedding day?" She surprised me with her sudden question about her marriage, and I was startled. Perhaps shock would be an understatement for what I was feeling at that moment.
"Damn, you! Are you for real? How can you talk about marriage during your teenage years? Just focus on your career, Fee!" I banged my opinion on her.
Fee wasn't astonished by my response, she waved me off. "Would you be my bridesmaid or not? Just answer me," she demanded as if she was my teacher and asking for my homework.
"Of course, I'll be!" I grinned, "you are not a bimbo but you are a hopeless romantic girl, now you wanna watch this movie or should I switch to any fantasy or Marvel movie?" I smirked like a devil, and she nodded her head like a kid.
Fiona is a cute and simple girl, the thought of love excites her more than any chocolate, her mesmerizing brown eyes shine whenever she giggles, yeah, she laughs a lot. According to her, laughing is what you should always do because one day if you'll be in pain, you won't be able to laugh. So laugh and smile because, at this moment, you are not in pain so enjoy your happy and pain-free time.
She is an optimistic girl who wants to have a steady relationship with someone who will love her however she is, Fiona is not waiting for her prince charming but she is waiting for the right person, a simple, loving, compatible, and caring boy.
Her perfect curly hair makes her look more pretty, she isn't a model but she has features like one. She looks cute when the dimples appear on her round face when she smiles, if someone will take a look at her, the three words will come out from his mouth-cute, smile, and stunning.
Everything is cute about her, her short height, not very short but a little, her straight and small nose, her thick lips. She looks a thousand times more gorgeous whenever she smiles.
We started watching 'my best friend's wedding', I ate a sandwich, and within five minutes I drifted to sleep.
Damn, rom-com movies!
