Chapter 150: Face the Consequences

Sophie and Henry returned home to Leah who had just received the news of their expulsion from the family. As they entered, Leah and her husband began to curse vehemently. Finally, Leah sat on the ground, thrashing and wailing like an enraged woman. Sophie, witnessing her mother's behavior, felt a wave of injustice. They only cared about being expelled from the family, never asking about the hardships Sophie faced outside, or the moment when she almost fell victim to Rock. Thinking about it, her admiration for Henry grew. She resolved that in this lifetime, she'd marry no one but Henry. "Mom, Dad, don't worry. I'll take care of myself. Tomorrow, I'll go out and find a job!" Sophie said to Leah. "Find what? We just managed to return to the family, but got kicked out again! Mr. Rock is such a nice person. If you were with him, none of this would have happened!" Leah yelled at both of them. "Sophie is my wife. He bullied my wife. Shouldn't I have hit him?" Henry retorted, irritated.
