Carol spent a few minutes in the bathroom, crying. Then, she grabbed a tissue to wipe her tears away. She felt a little better after letting out those tears of misery. She felt even more at peace after she took a shower. After emerging from the bathroom, she soaked her laundry in a bucket of water, thinking that she would hand wash them after lunch. She could afford a washing machine, but she did not purchase one. The only laundry she had to do was those of hers and Edward's. Plus, Edward was an independent kid.
