The call ended, Timothy stared at his phone for a while without speaking, but his mind was filled with confusion and irritation. Irritation because Angel's last words made him think of the marks on Isabella's neck, and confusion because of Mary's words. Isabella signed with the company during high school, back when she wasn't even an adult. She couldn't make her own decisions, so surely it was Mary who helped arrange the contract. With such a high breach fee, which parents would trust putting their child into it? Didn't this completely tie down Isabella?
