The afternoon sun wasn’t as hot as it does in the middle of the day which means that we travelled in the perfect time to travel. Instead of using the shortcut, we chose to drive by the main road instead of going to through the forest to reach our destination early. Rogues lurk in the forest. We can't risk getting ambushed by the rogues on our way. At least by going through the main road and blending through the humans, the rogues would hesitate to attack us and it will be hard for them to spot where we are. We could easily sneak and hide at the crowds and escape from their grasp if something bad happens. We drove by small towns, highways and desserts until we reached the road by the forest. It means that we were about to arrive to our destination. The farther we go, the lesser we see cars and people, until we were the only one left on the road.
