Bailey pushed Vivian with all her strength. Vivian fell off the bed as Bailey headed toward the door steadily. It was hard to move for Bailey with the massive bulge in her abdomen. "Catherine!" Bailey cried out, carefully taking the stairs. The house was eerily quiet. Vivian got back to his feet, slowly trailing Bailey. He had no rush as a cheeky grin played on his lips. He had cornered his prey. Bailey couldn't run anywhere. Bailey called Catherine a few more times, but her voice only echoed through the empty hallway. A loud noise and the creaking of floorboards startled Bailey. Bailey froze in place, holding her breath. The footsteps got closer. Bailey grabbed a vase and inched toward the door, prepared to attack. She unleashed a war cry and swung the vase just as the intruder appeared before her. "Get away from me!" Bailey yelled, closing her eyes. ''Bailey! It's me! Calm down!" Bailey opened her eyes and met Aphrodite's startled gaze. "You scared me!" Aphrodite said.
