Chapter 27: Questions and some answers

Talia "Where are you going?" Ariel asked me when I grabbed the basket and opened the door. "To go and pick your herbs. Is there a problem with that?" I asked, suddenly extremely confused. "No, except it will not be said that I caused the death of your little one, so go back inside and rest," Ariel urged deeper. Taking slow steps, I walked towards her. I waved two fingers in front of her, and once she frowned, I knew it was most definitely the same person. "Is there a problem?" she asked, taking a small pause from picking at her toenails. "I just thought that maybe you were a different person. I'm sure you've heard of the concept of doppelgangers," I said, taking a seat beside her. "Yes, I've heard the concept of doppelgangers. Why is it so important to her about doppelgangers?" Ariel asked, looking at me with wide eyes. "I was thinking maybe a doppelganger got in the way of you," I said. "You think that? Why not?" She waved me off. "Obviously not," she said, glaring at me.
