Chapter 101: Open eyes

I felt myself being carried multiple times, but the most pain I felt was when a needle was jabbed into my arm. I wanted to wake up, but I couldn't. "Is anyone there?" I asked myself as I tried to force my lips open.
"She's going to try to wake up," a familiar female voice said. "Keep giving her this every three hours. Slowly but surely, it's going to work," the voice added, followed by the sound of heels clacking on the floor. I really tried to open my mouth and my eyes, but nothing happened.
"She's pretty," a male voice said beside me, instinctively making me want to flinch, but I couldn't move. "Keep your hands off her," a female voice said sharply. "She's not at all for you," the voice continued. "The boss was strict in her instructions. We don't want any problems," the voice said before retreating.
"Three hours," I repeated in my mind as my focus shifted to the spot where the pain from my arm emanated. I was beginning to grow weaker when I felt a slight burning sensation
