463: WHERE WE STAND
ARIEL'S POV
I sat behind the wheel of my car, and the familiar weight of skepticism settled in the pit of my stomach. The building loomed before me, its imposing structure casting a shadow over my already troubled thoughts. With a deep sigh, I tore my gaze away from the window and reluctantly stepped out of the car.
I made my way towards the entrance, my footsteps echoing against the pavement, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. The prospect of going through this again with Luke after what happened between the both of us filled me with a combination of apprehension and anger, but I knew that I couldn't continue to bury my head in the san.
Inside the building, the air was thick with tension, each passing moment only serving to heighten my anxiety. I spotted Luke's assistant, Jack, busy at his desk, and my heart skipped a beat as he looked up and caught sight of me.
"Hey, Mrs. Reynold," Jack greeted me with a warm smile, though I could sense the curiosity lurk
