Sarah awoke with the sunlight glaring at her. She squinted her eyes and looked around. The clock on her phone read eleven in the morning and she groaned and got up. She had not slept the full eight hours prescribed by the doctor but she couldn’t sleep anymore. She stretched and noticed that Amanda was laying on her front, her posture preposterous, but still blissfully asleep. Sarah slipped out of bed cautiously and walked into the kitchen to prepare something for herself.
