Chapter 68: Unwilling To Let Go
The one and only time she had gone to a club or anything like that was on her recent birthday and the consequence of it was not the best.
Amanda hushed her immediately. “It’s her birthday. Please?” Her doe-like eyes melted the heart of the bouncer and he spoke into the walkie-talkie quickly.
“You can take the cake in,” the man said gruffly.
Amanda squealed and tugged at Sarah’s hand. She practically dragged Sarah into the club. People turned to look at the poorly dressed women but soon lost interest and concentrated on dancing.
The two women were led to the middle of the room. They stood around a small circular table and stationed their things before deciding that it was best to order a drink or something. Otherwise, they would feel too guilty about taking up space. They ended up ordering two glasses of long island iced tea.
“We need a re-do of your birthday!” Amanda yelled over the music.
Sarah frowned. “I don’t plan on getting drunk and making a mess, sorry.”
Amanda shrugged.
