Chapter 49: Run, Luna, Run part 2

Finally, the moment of truth came with me wide awake on the night of the new moon. As I watched the darkness cover the sky, I packed a few things in my small house and left as soon as everywhere was dark through my window, being as silent as I could. Just as I thought, all the Rogues did the same, with my pack instincts kicking in, hiding from the darkness outside. I began slowly and quietly after covering myself in several handfuls of dust and leaves late in the afternoon, purposefully getting dirty. I began to move slowly, heading towards the canopy of trees, and was glad when I was not interrupted. I looked around and was relieved to find no one was looking outside their windows, and continued sneaking there. Once I was out of view of the houses, I headed westward, starting slowly at first but then breaking out into a jog. I covered the distance slowly but surely until I ran for so long I had to stop and take a drink of water. I planted my feet, feeling victory and freedom
