Chapter 44

My heart was pounding. I quickly looked towards where Killian was and noticed his eyes were wide with fear. He was standing now, looking directly at Xavier. "Your Majesty, I-I, we were training that is all. I didn't mean to offend you." This was the first time I've seen Killian look so shaken. I guess he really knows what Xavier is like, especially when he is furious. He must sense danger and be truly fearing for his life. I blinked and in that moment I knew I couldn't let Xavier harm Killian. No matter how annoying, mean and cruel he was to me, he didn't deserve Xavier's wrath for something completely innocent and uncalled for. Xavier needs to calm down. I don't know why he's reacting so strongly to this? He looks kind of crazy! Almost as if he, himself can't control his own emotions. Xavier's only response was a deep snarl. He remained as still as death, not moving just glaring at Killian. Like a predator stalking or sussing out his prey. Killian did not move either.
