283 THE LAST DINNER
Fay stared at the screen of her phone as she tapped her feet on the floor repeatedly, biting her fingernails. “Ugh!” She let out a groan of frustration, picking up the phone from her table and flinging it into the bed. “Why won't he call me?” She muttered in frustration. It had been three days since they had the meeting and he hadn't called once.
She had thought her threat would have him begging at her feet but it was the opposite. How could he not budge once? Is he that unaffected by my threat? With a frustrated sigh, she stood from the chair and picked up her phone before leaving her room for the living room.
I should have known the blackmail wouldn't work that well. It's just his age after all. She might not mind and even if she does, it's not enough to cause a huge storm. At most, it'll cause a small storm that'll blow over in a few days. “I really thought I had something worthwhile,” she muttered in annoyance.
