Chapter 16

　　Anastasia heard a loud growl behind her and she ran as fast as I could upstairs. Entering the first door she could find, she quickly closed it behind her, breathing heavily. When she heard his loud footsteps stepping up the stairs, she began to panic. Her heart started beating faster and louder, overcoming the silence. She looked around the room and she realized it was his office. 　　Anastasia tiptoed behind his desk and quickly hid underneath it. 　　"Come out. Come out. Wherever you are," he sang just outside the hall. 　　She held her breath. It was at this moment that she felt so dumb and stupid. She felt like a child. He made her feel like a child. And somehow it made her feel excited and alive. The door to his office slowly opened. She jumped startled even though she knew he couldn't see her. 　　Anastasia hugged herself and clamped her lips shut. She heard his heavy footsteps walking around the table, his fingers tapping the wooden desk. 　　"Baby doll?" he called. 　　A moment of silenc
