CHAPTER 172: THE GUILT
Juliet's heart fluttered, and she felt a surge of conflicting emotions. She knew she needed to talk to him, to sort things out, but she wasn't sure how to start. The guilt and confusion weighed heavily on her, making it hard to think clearly.
Finally, breakfast came to an end, and the family began to disperse. Juliet took a deep breath, gathering her courage. She needed to speak to Caleb, to address the unspoken tension between them. She stood up, her legs feeling wobbly as she made her way over to him.
"Caleb," she said softly, catching his attention. "Can we talk? Somewhere private?"
Caleb nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "Of course. Let's go."
They walked out of the dining room together, the rest of the family watching them with curiosity. Juliet's heart pounded as they headed towards the garden, knowing that this conversation could change everything. She needed to find clarity, to understand her own heart, and to finally make a decision about the future.
