"This isn’t right," Stefan muttered under his breath as he glanced around the opulent kitchen. He was accustomed to high-value items, but the luxury surrounding him was staggering—even the glasses they had used earlier were crystal. The sheer extravagance of it all was beyond his comprehension. "Yes, this isn’t right. She’s trying to deceive us," Gaia said grimly, her tone laced with frustration as they made their way toward the kitchen. Stefan carried the bag of groceries they had brought for Xina, a gesture that now seemed increasingly futile. "She must be the mistress of the property owner. It has to be some kind of elaborate facade." Gaia’s nod was filled with self-assuredness, clinging to her own misguided conclusions. Gaia’s eyes narrowed as she took in Xina’s relaxed demeanor. Clad in pajamas and slippers, Xina appeared completely at ease, indifferent to her disinheritance from the Webster family. Gaia's resentment simmered, especially after Xina had mocked her twice earlier.
