Chapter 74: I MUST HAVE HIM

  The sound of approaching footsteps shook Selene from her daze, and she quickly stooped to gather the scattered remnants of the tray that had fallen from her hands in her daze.   As the office doors swung open above her, she hid quickly, or else she would have found herself face-to-face with her father. He would think she was eavesdropping.   Coldly, Selene averted her gaze as she left the scene, making sure she was not seen, her heart pounding in her chest.   She didn't dare linger. She did not want to be caught eavesdropping. Her father would not take it well.
