The next day, Scarlett was still thinking about her most recent encounter with Ryke. She felt bad for him. His reaction after she bought that blueberry muffin for him taught her a lot. The man had no one to take care of him, not even to buy him breakfast. It terribly saddened her. Why was it that the kindest people were the ones to suffer the most ? After everything Ryke had done for her in the short period of time they knew each other, Scarlett believed that he deserved to have everything his little heart desired but clearly, he hadn’t been blessed with life. She couldn’t begin to imagine what kind of situation would force a man like him to rely on prostitution for a living. He could be doing so much more with his time... Even though he drove expensive cars and wore designer clothes, it didn’t mean that he was blessed in life.
