Chapter 4 I Married My Childe

As mentioned by others, Charlize was truly alive. When she was found, she was covered with wounds, tired up in the basement in the Wilsons, on the verge of nerve breakdown. As mentioned by others again, after Clinton took her back, he was with her to take care of her so carefully that he could present the whole world to her if she asked. Of course, she heard only from others. Since the day Clinton left, more than half a month he was nowhere to be found. But it was a different today. It was the Memorial Day of his father, the elder Mr. Green, so that he must present. Sandra got discharged from the hospital after all the papers were finalized. Eddie came to pick her up. Eddie Clarke was taken into the Greens few years ago by Clinton. He was just about 20, swift with handling things. He had cheerful eyes and adorable dimples. He impressed people always as an innocent sunshine boy. He took few luggage over and supported her shoulders when she was getting into the car. "Watch out, Sandra." His hand was big, which she could imagine although she couldn't feel warmth. She nodded with a polite smile and let him drive her back to the house. "Is Sir in?" Eddie was quite surprised to look at her. "Sandra, you are married to him. How come do you still call him Sir?" "... Did I?" She paused for a while and touched her lips unconsciously and then smiled silently. "I got used to it." Eddie looked at her eyes from the rear mirror. "Sandra, are you happy to marry the Childe?" The apple in her dark eyes dimmed unexpectedly. She looked at the scenery passing through the window. "Happy... I think so." When they reached the house, Clinton was sitting on the couch, angry with a tie he couldn't fix well. Beside him was Charlize in white dress. She was still as beautiful and noble as before. All the wounds disappeared after days of rest. Years of life in the basement without sunshine made her skin morbidly pale, and together with her thin body, she looked beautiful and fragile. Charlize was truly back. Not only she was alive, but she was more beautiful than before. As soon as Sandra came back, her dark deep eyes were fixed on her face. Sandra closed her lips, indifferently, and bowed to her seriously. "Sir, Ms. Lee." Her formal demeanor obviously made Charlize relieved. However, Clinton jumped up from the long couch, eyes suddenly became bright. He went straight to her with tie in hand, condescendingly. "Finally, you know to come back. You chose this damn tie for me but what's wrong with it? I can't fix it." He was arrogant and domineering, which seemed to be back to three years ago. Obviously, it made him exuberant after he found Charlize again. Sandra took over the tie, head low to shed away from Charlize eyes, and spoke slowly and clearly. "Sir, please sit down." Clinton didn't notice anything different and sat down hastily to let her tie it and arrange the collar. At the same time, he was focusing on Charlize, and comforting her with his smile occasionally. She was as skinny as a ghost. It seemed that she could be blown away by the wind. Sandra's hand was in a fist, hidden in the sleeve. She smiled reluctantly at their undisguised affection. "Clinton, I heard you and Sandra... got married?" Sandra paused her hand and looked at Clinton immediately. As expected, his face was stiff for a moment. She thought he must have been happy to remember what happened. It seemed to go back to three years ago when he and Charlize were like prince and princess. And she was just a servant, accompanying him day after day, year after year, speechless. For no reason, she pressed his shoulders and looked up to Charlize and spoke. "Yes, Ms. Lee. Sir and I, we got married."
