Sam arrived at the office early. After hours tossing and turning in bed, thinking of Mia, he’d made a phone call and spent the night with a woman he’d picked up at a club a few weeks ago. While it had been fun, she hadn’t satisfied him, at least not in the way he needed to be satisfied. Sitting behind his desk, attempting to get some emails answered before everyone else arrived, including Mia, he realized she was the only one who could give him what he needed. Which was a problem, because he knew it wouldn’t be long before something had to give. Either Mia would quit her job to be with Beau, which meant that Sam would never be with her again.
