"Marcus….he…broke up with me," Sarah choked, her shoulders quivering with the force of her sobs. "Oh, Sarah," Cecilia murmured as she knelt on the cold bathroom floor. "He didn't deserve you anyways…." "No!" Sarah cried out with a vehemence that startled her a bit. "Don't say that, Ceci; you know it’s a lie! Marcus is a good man!...a better man than Harry was!" She hiccupped as she wiped her face and looked directly at Cecilia. "This was all my fault." "Sarah, please don't say that…" She shook her head sadly as her face crumpled up with a fresh wave of sobs. "This time I was the toxic one…." She stated in a broken voice. "I threw a toxic shadow over him, and now he's gone…I didn't deserve him." Cecilia reached down and gently grasped her fingers, squeezing softly as she began to speak. "No matter what, he could have still stayed if he valued you enough….a grown man's decision is not your fault." She was tiptoeing around the truth, but it was strictly because she didn't want
