••• Charlotte’s POV ••• I tugged on Sofia’s wrist and ran frantically through the wood. I saw a waterfall not far from us and decided to run there. “Charlotte, what exactly do you want from me?” Sofia yelled and tried to shake my hand away from her wrist. I vaguely felt my body growing hot, but didn't think too much of it. Maybe it was just my stamina being depleted because I had been running a long while through the wood. “Charlotte, let me go!” Sofia yelled and she suddenly and frantically tried to pry away my hand from her wrist, her long fingernails dug through my skin, leaving bloody marks, which to my surprise, disappeared as fast as they appeared with nary a scar left. My healing ability seemed to have come back… “Stay away from me, Charlotte! I can smell your scent getting stronger and stronger. At this rate, they will find you and if I’m with you, you will get me killed!” Sofia kept yelling. My scent was getting stronger? What did she mean by that? I reached into my pocket to
