If Grace could turn back time, she would've crawled her way to the Lambert residence last night, even if she had to die in bed. She took a deep breath and completely ignored Yancey. Yancey, on the other hand, was pleased. Even though he and Grace had known each other for years, Alice's arrival five years ago really caught everyone's attention—she was like a fragile doll. Unconsciously, everyone began favoring Alice, and it had become so normal now that no one questioned it. Everyone assumed Grace was just being difficult and that she would eventually come back. The drinks from the delivery soon arrived, and everyone thanked Jessica, not realizing that Grace had actually ordered them. Grace didn't care to address the matter. She simply continued working diligently on the files in front of her. She had scheduled to meet with a real estate agent in the afternoon. After receiving 200 million dollars last night, there was no reason to keep living in that unsafe place.
