Why Are You Talking to Some Random Guy Who Has Nothing to Do with You?
The bandages on James Lu's head had been taken off and his hair was slick with pomade. He looked dashing.
James Lu looked in their direction with a faint smile on his lips, almost mischievous looking. But Elizabeth Liang felt like there were sparks of anger in his eyes.
"Mr. Lu?" Theodore Chao felt embarrassed when he saw James and heard what he said. He let go of Elizabeth's hand and coughed to quickly cover up the humiliation on his face. He walked over and stretched out his hand to greet him. "I didn't expect to see you here, it is very nice to meet you!"
Looking at the hand in front of him, James raised his eyebrows. A while passed before Theodore was about to awkwardly take it back, and only then did James lazily hold out his. When their hands were about to touch, James turned his hand and his body took a step away, and grabbed Elizabeth who was nearby.
"Aren't you just bringing food? Why are you talking to some random guy who has nothing to do with you?"
He looked at her. The "masterpiece" he created on her neck was completely gone, and the wound on her forehead had faded to a patch of light pink. Good!
He stressed the words "random guy" and "nothing to do with you".
The warmth of his palm went through the skin on her arm and reached the bottom of her heart.
"..." Elizabeth didn't expect James to react like this. But somehow she could feel that he was embarrassing Theodore to...avenge her?
"Answer me!" Seeing her stay silent, he frowned and intimidatingly narrowed his eyes.
"..." She felt like he was squeezing her arm harder. His tone was displeased, but he didn't show it on his face.
"Why aren't you talking, did someone mess with you? Hm?" He glanced at Theodore as he spoke.
Theodore looked at the two tangled together, and his expression changed. What did James have to do with Elizabeth? Elizabeth didn't go to President Lee's room that day, but her body was...
Could it be...
Elizabeth shook her head, and after a while finally softly said, "The cake is ruined." It took her three hours to make it today!
James glanced at the cake on the ground. "Forget it then."
"But..."
He smiled, knowing what she meant. She couldn't put into words how beautiful his smile was.
"If we can't eat this today, how about we eat something else?"
"Hm?"
James didn't reply, just turned around and pulled Elizabeth along with him. And then, perhaps out of carelessness, he bumped into Theodore hard, causing him to stagger and almost fall over.
"Sorry, I thought you left." James raised his eyebrows, his mouth was apologizing, but his face was clearly smug and unapologetic.
Elizabeth was lost for words. James was so immature, yet somehow so lovable at the same time. Looking at Theodore's defeated face, she could feel the bitterness in her heart fade away. "Where are we going?"
The answer to her question was James's ridiculously cocky reply. "We're gonna dine and dash! You in?"
