For a moment there, Bonnie didn't know what to say.
It took a while before she replied, "Perhaps it's fate that we meet today, young stranger. I am from the older generation. My parents and the matchmaker actually arranged my marriage for me. As such, my husband and I got married after only meeting once.
"After we got married, we spent time together and eventually fell in love. Our love lasted for decades. We have so many wonderful children and grandchildren together. My husband had always been sweet to me and had never hurt me.
"You and your husband got married on a whim. That is rather similar to the arranged marriages common in my generation. I think you should try spending time with your husband and see if the two of you will fall in love. Don't rush into getting a divorce.
"As the old saying goes, we inherit our karmas and destinies from our previous life. This marriage might be a reward you both earned in your previous lifetimes."
