Chapter 23: Winfred, Something Happened to My Mum

　　Lainey didn’t expect that Rooney could come to this sanatorium after her mother had been transferred here. Why was he so anxious to find her mum? He’d never visited her mum in the previous sanatorium in the past few years. Did his better nature assert itself now? 　　“He’s my dad.” Lainey stood up, came to the security guard and asked, “Where is the man you mentioned? I’ll go meet him.” The guard paused for a while and looked her up and down before he replied, “Follow me!” After giving Alena a hug, Lainey told the nurse who was taking care of Alena, “Could you please take my mother back? And please don’t let anyone other than me disturb her.” The nurse nodded and quickly pushed Alena back to the ward. 　　Lainey met Rooney at the entrance of the sanatorium. Rooney’s face sank when he saw Lainey come out. Sure enough, Alena was here! In order not to let the secrets on Alena be discovered, Rooney almost visited all the psychiatric sanatoriums in Swindon. Finally, he found her!
