Chapter 63: No Chance of Getting Her Drunk
Chase shot Austin a look sharp enough to cut glass. It made Austin feel like one wrong word would send him straight to heaven.
"I, uh... I run a car repair shop. If your car ever acts up, just hit me up," Austin offered.
Eliana gave him a serious once-over. "You don't exactly look the part, though." She didn't catch a whiff of motor oil either.
Austin chuckled casually. "I'm not the one turning wrenches. That's for my employees."
"Oh, got it," Eliana nodded, smiling. "If you hadn't said anything, I'd think you were some big-shot CEO."
Austin nervously chuckled. "Thanks for the compliment. Maybe it's rubbing off from hanging with Chase."
Chase shot him a glare, clearly unimpressed, but didn't say a word.
At the checkout, Chase went to pay, but Eliana stopped him. "You're always doing everything. Let me handle the payment this time."
When Austin heard that, it took on a whole new meaning. No wonder this guy didn't want to go back to New York. He was smitten.
