Frustration welled up in Yasmin, and she was even more conflicted when she saw Queenie. She was beautiful, but she paled next to Queenie. Vincent had shown her a picture of Layla from her younger days; the woman had been stunning. Yasmin remembered complaining about how it was unfair that she did not take after her aunt despite sharing the same gene pool. If she had taken after Layla's looks, perhaps Joshua would have fallen for her. Only then did she notice Joshua had not tagged along with Joey and Queenie for this visit.
