When Brandon arrived at the tea house, Xander glanced at his watch. He whispered, "He's been waiting for half an hour."
"What's the hurry?" Brandon asked, dressed in casual attire that was both low-key and ordinary. He would have gone unnoticed in the crowd without his striking features and aristocratic demeanor.
"Not at all," Xander replied, looking offended. "Geez, I'm just stating the facts."
Brandon shot him a glance as if to say, "Then why mention it?"
"You're being rude by showing up late," Xander said. His personality and temperament shone through, embodying that of a model citizen.
"I did it on purpose." His reply silenced Xander.
He pushed open the door and entered, where an old man sat on the couch, looking up but not getting up. Brandon approached him and said, without much sincerity, "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's only half an hour, so it's no big deal." Those words alone revealed the man's exceptional character.
"Brandon Howell," he said, extending his hand.
