CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY – THE BUS BROKE DOWN
The next morning, Jasmine and Emily awoke to the tantalizing aroma of bacon and coffee wafting through the small inn. They found Mr. Dobson in the communal kitchen, wearing a frilly apron and humming a jaunty tune as he flipped pancakes.
"Good morning, ladies!" he called cheerfully. "I thought I'd whip up a little breakfast to make up for our... detour yesterday."
Emily's eyes lit up at the sight of the spread. "Mr. Dobson, this looks amazing!"
As they sat down to eat, Mr. Dobson regaled them with stories of his youth in the area. "You know, this town used to be quite the hotspot back in my day," he said, a faraway look in his eyes. "We had dances every Saturday night at the old barn. That's where I met my Mildred, God rest her soul."
