Chapter 7
Jake paused, turned around, and looked at Shane who was already asleep. For some reason, a strange feeling flashed in his heart. It was not pain but a different sensation and it was too late to catch... …
Jake hated drunk women, but even so, before leaving, he pulled the quilt out of her and covered her.
Out of the business suite, Jake looked at the two men standing not far away, and the expressions on their faces were excitement.
One of them is his own driver, Zander, looking at him at this time with a hint of relief in his surprise.
The other is Fred who grew up with him.
Fred grinned, and stretched out his hand to pat his back waist while saying, "The sun is coming out from the west today? You Zuo Junmin also had the time when the iron tree bloomed? But, what about you? Is the speed too fast? Why? The kidneys are not good?!"
Jake glared at Fred, then faintly glanced at the suite behind him, turned around, and said, "Let's go. Lance must be in a hurry..."
Pushing open the door of the VIP room on the fourth floor, the loud music inside came out.
Jake frowned slightly, and Fred had already walked inside.
The three men are all top quality. When the girls in the private room saw Jake, they couldn't help but exclaim in a low voice. The male god in their minds was not even as good as Jake.
That kind of innate aura of the king, coupled with the calm and introverted eyes, are two perfect extremes with Lance next to him.
Lance is the kind of bad man who can't help sinking at first glance, and Jake in front of him is the kind of man who is high and difficult to approach.
"Lance, we are late...", Fred walked to Lance with a smile.
Lance narrowed his eyes and looked behind Fred.
After seeing the people coming behind Fred, he finally got up from the sofa and walked to Jake. He stretched out his fist and slammed his shoulder. He smiled and said, "Jake, you are finally back!"
Jake smiled and gave him a hug and showed a strong brotherhood.
After greeting Lance, Jake looked around, glanced over the faces of a few girls, turned around and asked Lance, "What about your fiancée? Didn't you say you want to bring us to see her? "
Lance looked casual, and said lightly, "I was angry, so she left..."
Standing on the side, Fred laughed and said jokingly, "Lance, there are so many beautiful women here. It would be weird if she doesn't leave you with all these women."
Facing Fred's ridicule, Lance didn't care at all and said to the women on his side, "All of you go out. Jake likes to be quiet. You are so noisy."
The girls got up in disappointment and were reluctant to leave. But even so, there were still women who were unwilling to give up. They stretched out their hand and gently stroked it on Jake's shoulder.
Jake smiled and nodded towards the woman in front of him, but his expression was full of estrangement,so the girl quickly turned and left in disappointment.
The women left one after another. Soon, the VIP room became quiet. Jake remained seated on the sofa.
Fred opened a bottle of red wine and poured them into three empty glasses. While sitting on the opposite coffee table, he handed the glasses to Jake and Lance on the sofa.
"Do the math. How many years haven't we seen Jake?", Fred said while taking a sip of the red wine.
Lance smiled evilly and said, "It's been 6 years. I remember the last time I saw him, I still went to rescue him from a car accident...
"Car accident?! What kind of car accident? Why don't I know about this?" , Fred looked at Jake suspiciously.
Jake pursed the corners of his mouth, smiled, and said, "Indeed..."
Seeing that Jake didn't say anything, Fred turned his gaze on Lance again and said, "Lance, what's the matter? Tell me..."
Lance put down the wine glass with a smile, leaned forward, and slowly said, "Fred, do you remember Jake's wedding six years ago?"
...
Fred was stunned, and saw that Jake had no expression on his face, and then said, "Of course I remember. If I didn't stop him that day, I don't know what he could have done."
Lance nodded, "The woman he loves is married to his second brother in a blink of an eye. I wonder how he managed not to go crazy!"
Jake just pressed his lips, smiling while shaking the wine glass in his hand. He did not speak because that's part of his past.
Fred on the side continued to ask, "Does this has something to do with the car accident?"
Lance laughed and said, "Aren't you surprised why I was not at the wedding scene that day?"
Fred nodded hurriedly and said, "Why?!"
"That's because Jake rushed back all the way and drove to a girl on Burn Road and I went to rescue him."
Fred looked wrong and said, "You mean that Jake had an accident while driving because he was in a hurry to come to the wedding scene. You went to take responsibility for the accident for him?!"
