8 Yacht

Before she could open her mouth to speak, he pushed another spoonful of food inside her mouth. “I am tired.” She said after some time and he dropped the spoon on the dish. “You may leave.” He said. She quickly took the dishes and left his room. Once she was out, she breathed out in relief. But she was still excited that she had something before going to bed. When she reached the kitchen, she washed the dishes and was about to leave when the butler blocked her. “Take this.” He said. “These are special candles that you need to light in Boss room. Also don’t forget to turn on the sound machine in his room so he would be able to help good sleep.” Karen groaned internally before nodding her head. She bowed at him before opening the door to leave. “Has he taken his drugs?” He asked. “No. I would make sure he takes them before his sleep.” She replied and left there. Going back to his room, she knocked on the door slowly until she heard a response from inside telling her to come in. She opened the door and walked inside to do what she was asked to do. “Sir you haven’t taken your drugs, have you?” She asked. “I just took them.” He said. “Okay.” She walked to the bed stand to light the special candles which she knew would be very expensive. Lighting them up, she switched all the lights before turning the sound machine on. It was very pleasing in the ears and she knew if she spent more time, she would end up falling asleep in his room. She slowly opened the door and left the room to the servant quarters to rest. Once Karen laid on the bed, it didn’t take long before she fell asleep. The next morning, she woke up early and got dressed up in the new uniform they were given. “It looks good on you, Karen.” Jenny commented as they walked down the corridor. “Have a good day.” Jenny said before going inside the kitchen to help in the dishes. Karen on the other hand, walked to Noah’s room. She pushed the door opened and went inside to turn the sound machine off. She switched the candles off and walked to the curtains to push them aside. “Good morning, Sir Noah.” She bowed her head towards him. “Karen.” He called and she walked closer. “How is your finger?” “It has almost healed up, Sir.” She replied. “Alright. You would be leaving with me today. I have somewhere to go and you would be in charge of serving drink and food.” He said, standing up from the bed. He walked inside the bathroom and she removed the old sheets from the bed. The butler came inside the room and he helped her to change the sheets into a new one. Once they were done changing the sheets, he left and she used the vacuum to clean the room. When Noah came out of the bathroom, he was dressed in a black chunky sweater and black trousers. His hair was roughly pushed the front and droplets of water fell down to his forehead making him look more Handsome. “Follow me.” He said and she quickly dropped the vacuum cleaner before following him like she was his pet. They walked downstairs, leaving the Mansion to stand in at the garden waiting for the car to be brought forward. “Where are we going to, Sir?” She asked, wanting to know where he was taking her to. Was it the police station? A black Lamborghini Aventador parked in front of him and the driver first bowed before opening the door for Noah. He went inside first before Karen sat down next to him keeping a good distance between them. “The weather is hot and it would be good in spending time in the middle of the sea. Everything is already prepared for it.” He said. When the car started move, she could notice his gaze which was fixed on her and refused to look anywhere else. It made her uncomfortable and even when she turned around to look at him, he continued staring at her as if he hadn’t been caught looking at her. She wondered if she had rubbed too much power on her face for him to be staring too long. “What about your parents, do you have any?” He asked. “My father died few months ago. I have a mother but she left years ago “ she said. “Must be really sad living alone.” He commented. Her eyes shifted to look at the window of the car to see the tall skyscrapers. All these were still new to Karen. She had never for once dined with the people of wealthy family. Her childhood which was supposed to be like full of fun only turned out to be disaster as both her parents never stopped fighting. Sometimes, she would wish she had a sibling whom she could explain how she feels to. She could not voice her thoughts and worries to the woman she loved in her life as she was afraid her mother would push her away. She came to the stage of her life when she got used to how they abandoned her. Sometimes they would spend hours in quarrelling which would later end in fight. When the car halted near the water area, she was about to step down from the car when he pulled her closer. “Keep this in mind that you would be seeing new faces. Don’t go about blabbering around or doing what you are not supposed to.” He warned her. “What about the food and drinks?” She asked. “They are in the boots.” He replied. She waited for Noah to step down from the car before stepping down. Her movements slow and she tried her best to be composed. A huge yacht stood mighty near the water. The driver came down from the car and gestured for her to follow him. She followed him to back car where he opened it and took out the small cooler of drinks. She took it from the driver, and turned around to see Noah who was walking towards the yacht. They continued to walk to finally meet about three persons who was standing near the yacht waiting for it to take off. One of the person was his manager, the other was his identical twin brother and the last was a male didn’t she know of. “We thought you would not make it early.” The man she didn’t know said to him. “Who is this?” His eyes moved to Karen before looking at Noah. “She is a new maid working there.” Olivia said and she saw Travis chuckled. “So you made her your maid?” He laughed. “Bringing maids to a place someone like her isn’t worthy to step in.” “I am sure he brought her for the food and drinks. You need to relax Travis.” Olivia said, eyeing Karen from up and down. “I was just saying.” Travis chuckled. Just then, the yacht began to slowly move inside the water and they all stepped in. Karen placed the cooler of drinks down before sitting down at the end to isolate herself from them.
