I wake up in the morning right before the alarm rang and put it off on time not to disturb George as he wakes up even at a faded echo forget about a noise on full blast. Whereas, my daughter Mabel doesn’t care about any kind of noise and sleeps through it no matter how many times it rings. My baby’s ears shut while she is in her dreamland.
It feels so different waking up in a new home. Doing everything that I have been doing for so long feels so different with nothing being the same now. I am used to taking coffee powder out from the third cabinet on top of the kitchen counter on my right, but now it’s not there. In fact, there is no cabinet on top here.
My body automatically reached out for it, but then I remembered I was not in Savannah, and the coffee powder is now rather in the second lower shelf on the left. With every little thing I do subconsciously, as per my house in Savannah, I end up laughing at my own self, but I am liking it.
