CHAPTER 146: KEEPING THE PAST IN THE PAST

As they settled into the evening, Juliana toned it down a bit for Lauretta's sake. Gotta admit, George deserved a pat on the back for that day. Even though she didn't know what Lauretta went through before, the scene in the elevator was off. Juliana suspects foul play. She chewed on a piece of steak watching them closely. Lauretta was acting nonchalantly Juliana observed. She seemed to be at ease as though this was an everyday thing for her. Juliana fought the urge to roll her eyes at her friend.
