CHAPTER 10 NO STATE, NO SUMMIT
Minerva's Pov
I followed my dad as we walked briskly down the hallway to his office, gesturing as I spoke.
"Sir, you have to understand. It would make so much sense if we didn't host the current summit in Silverline."
On the day of the summit in Aperture, aware of the animosity between the two families and my deep-seated dislike for Dominic Pendragon, I attempted to persuade my father to understand the necessity of relocating the summit to a new location. If Maple Dome had hosted the summit, I would have been more inclined to attend. After all, I missed the last one.
My fight and confrontation at the party were unsuccessful because we knew we couldn't risk exposing our identities, despite our desire to humiliate each other.
The feud against us was not worth that kind of expensive joke. It would be deadly if we met with our kind all around.
"You still haven't given me an appropriate reason why I shouldn't host the Summit in Silverline."
