Alicia sighed dramatically, pretending to be troubled. "Yes, it's really hard when you have to rely on others for money. Since dear Linda is so generous today, we’ll gladly accept her help. After all, for a housewife like me with no income, it's a blessing to have someone pay for us." As Alicia spoke, Daphne played along perfectly, pulling Linda by the hand and leading her into the neighboring jewelry store. Alicia’s eyes gleamed as they entered, filled with expensive gems and luxurious jewelry. "Linda, don’t you think every child deserves a crown for their first birthday? I think I’ll buy a little crown for the baby. You wouldn’t mind paying for that, would you?" Alicia deliberately called her “sister” to annoy Linda, something she wouldn’t normally do. Linda knew she had been cornered into paying for this, and her expression soured. "Sure, it’s just a jade bracelet. Don’t worry, your dear sister here has plenty of money," Linda replied through gritted teeth, forcing a smile.
