"Here, your favorite food! As always!" my father said smiling as he served the food he had cooked.
There was no reaction as I picked up the spoon and brought the food closer to me.
"Dad," I uttered.
He turned to me in the middle of the meal. "Hmm, why?"
"When mom died, what made you think about leaving us?" I will ask.
He lowered the spoon and fork he was holding. He even wiped his lips with a paper tissue.
