Chapter Fifty-Two - Mason
Jessica sat across from me at the dining table. She seemed completely lost in her thoughts. I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but Jacob called a meeting with a plan—finally.
We needed something set in stone between us. The guessing game was growing tired amongst us. The lycans couldn’t continue to destroy Slade Springs and our wolves stay sane. It didn’t take much for a wolf to go crazy. Not being able to shift and an inability to fight enemies would do it.
Jacob sat down next to me as the pack all took their seats. I felt Jessica’s nerves from across the table. She nibbled on her bottom lip as Jacob cleared his throat.
