Surprise Visitor

Adeline My black stilettos nicked and knocked against the hard asphalt of the driveway as we entered my parents’ SUV, I had let Leah and Bailey slide into the backseat before sliding myself in, careful not to damage my black floor length dress. As my father pulled out of the driveway, I squinted my eyes to get a good look at the gray sedan that was parked across the street. Asher had seemed to be looking down at his lap while a light lit up against his face, I assumed that he had been texting on his phone. I was thankful that no one had noticed anything suspicious and assumed that it was just a random car parked on the road.
